The hearts and minds behind the Woman Of Purpose initiative.
Every great enterprise begins with a singular, deeply felt conviction. For Jane Opolot, a woman of profound faith and a widow herself, that conviction was born out of a shared grief. She understood the quiet, systemic desperation of widowhood, and she refused to look away. Following the biblical mandate to begin "in Jerusalem," Jane gathered a small group of widows in her home district of Pallisa in 2004.
What began as a local sanctuary of mutual support quickly evolved into a sophisticated, multi-layered engine for community transformation. Jane knew that to lift a woman is to lift a village; where there is a woman, you inevitably find a husband, a daughter, and a son. By anchoring her mission in the family, her work has touched and restored thousands of lives across every generation and gender.
Under her guidance over the past two decades, Woman of Purpose has engineered structured initiatives that replace the passivity of handouts with structural self-sufficiency—ranging from vital public health campaigns and local school placements to high-utility vocational training and life-changing livestock schemes.
Today, Jane continues to champion the advancement of the vulnerable, calling upon disciplined partners and visionary well-wishers worldwide to join the harvest and expand this legacy of strategic impact.
